Baltic Sea: Oblique Orthographic View of Maritime Geopolitics

Orthographic view of the Baltic Sea, emphasizing the maritime geopolitics of the region.

I took the existing orthographic oblique style I have used for some other recent maps and made this map after reading a few news stories about the Baltic. This rotation and framing gives a fresh perspective on the maritime geography and geopolitics of the Baltic with its key islands, straits, and cities. There was a strong response to this on social media, so I am posting it here with a link to a high-resolution download. A few commenters said they wanted it on their wall. If I can find time I would like to work more on the labeling, or maybe add some new data layers, such as shipping routes, seabed cables, aviation corridors, etc. As always, the homage to Richard Edes Harrison is entirely intentional.
