An updated view of the latest global numbers. Note that the threshold for labeling the number of deaths in a cluster has changed 1,000 (it was 500 in the previous version) but there are more than 20 such clusters in the map. The 218,000 deaths reported by mid-day yesterday is certainly an undercount, and not only in countries that are deliberately withholding or manipulating data. But this projection does emphasize the current concentration of the pandemic in Western Europe and the Eastern United States. PDF version here.
