THINKING
I have never really attempted a general purpose reference map, but I have been wanting to make a map of the US that emphasized natural features over political boundaries and transportation. I kept cities as reference points. This as also one of first attempts at using blend modes in ArcGIS Pro and an excuse to try to learn the terrain cross section techniques that I have praised from 19th century maps. This still needs a lot of work, I think, but it may be good enough for a version 1.0.
