Uganda Subway Map

I made this cartogram of Uganda ten years ago, but adaptations of the subway map concept never get old. Once upon a time I even had this on a coffee mug.

Obviously this is not a real rail system, but it is pretty close to the network of primary paved highways ("Other Connections" were not paved at the time). The locations of the towns are shown in their true locations with distance and angular relationships preserved. Before I connected the towns with notional rail links I plotted the towns overlaid from my Uganda reference map (download here).
