Thinking in Space uses limited server-side statistics to understand readership and demand for map downloads. These statistics use no analytics cookies, browser storage, advertising trackers, or visitor identifiers.

We retain daily page-request and download-request totals, plus separate country-level totals inferred by Cloudflare from network connections. Our statistics do not store IP addresses, individual visit records, precise locations, full referring addresses, query strings, or browsing histories. Country totals below five are grouped. Statistics are retained for up to 13 months and are available only through the protected site-management interface.

Requests with Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control enabled are excluded from these statistics. Known bots and prefetch requests are excluded where detected. Counts do not identify unique visitors or confirm that a download completed.

Cloudflare and GitHub process network information to deliver and protect the site under their own service policies. This is separate from our aggregate statistics. We do not sell or share analytics for advertising. The private management interface uses authentication cookies for authorized editors.
